Zhongding advances sustainability across its supply chain—from responsible sourcing to low-impact yarn manufacturing. Through enhanced efficiency, emission reduction, and the use of certified materials, sustainability is seamlessly integrated into every stage.
1/ Raw Materials
Zhongding is committed to using recycled and eco-friendly materials, prioritising responsibly sourced fibres that are certified by international third parties such as OCS, GRS, and RWS. As a proud member of GCS and the Chain of Custody of SFA, Zhongding actively promotes sustainable practices within the cashmere industry.
2/ Production
Zhongding’s production equipment is fully equipped with variable-frequency constant-pressure air supply.
In collaboration with Siemens, the company developed a spindle-driven fine spinning machine system and motor technology upgrade project, resulting in more effective energy and electricity savings.
Zhongding fully utilizes the solar power generation system installed on the rooftops of its factory buildings, maximizing the use of solar energy to reduce reliance on traditional electricity supply.
Zhongding is committed to advancing wastewater treatment by using advanced technologies such as Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) for deep processing.
3/ Yarn
In 2024, specific batches of Zhongding’s luxury cashmere yarns achieved ISO 14068-1 carbon neutral certification following cradle-to-gate carbon footprint assessment by international certification organizations, reinforcing the company’s commitment to offering customers sustainable, low-carbon yarn solutions.
